- 1 lb ground beef (or ground turkey)
- 1 small onion (chopped)
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
- ½ cup sour cream
- ½ cup milk
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (divided)
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- ½ tsp paprika
- Salt & black pepper, to taste
- 1 bag (32 oz) frozen tater tots
- Fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet, cook ground beef with onion and garlic until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, milk, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Mix in 1 cup shredded cheddar until creamy.
- Spread beef mixture evenly into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish or ovenproof skillet.
- Sprinkle with ½ cup cheddar.
- Arrange tater tots in a single layer on top.
- Bake uncovered for 35–40 minutes, until tots are golden and crispy.
- Sprinkle remaining cheddar over the top and bake another 5 minutes until melted.
- Garnish with parsley.
- Serve hot with a side salad or steamed veggies.
Notes
- Feel free to substitute ground turkey for a leaner option.
- For added flavor, consider adding vegetables like peas or corn.
- This dish can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
