Description

A refreshing ginger tea made with fresh ginger, honey, and lemon.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 inches fresh ginger root, peeled and sliced
  • 4 cups filtered water
  • 2 tablespoons honey or sugar (to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Peel and slice the fresh ginger root into thin pieces.
  2. In a saucepan, bring 4 cups of filtered water to a boil.
  3. Add the sliced ginger to the boiling water and reduce heat to low; let simmer for 10-15 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in honey or sugar according to your preference.
  5. Squeeze in the freshly squeezed lemon juice, stir well, and pour into your favorite mug.

Notes

  • Adjust the sweetness to your liking by adding more or less honey/sugar.
  • This tea can be enjoyed hot or chilled.
