Description

A delicious twist on a classic dish, this Cheeseburger French Fry Casserole combines the flavors of a cheeseburger with crispy French fries for a hearty meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 bag (32 oz) frozen French fries
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion (chopped)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup (or cream of chicken)
  • ½ cup milk
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (divided)
  • ½ cup cheese sauce (or nacho cheese, optional for drizzle)
  • ½ cup sour cream (optional, for creaminess)
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs (toasted with 1 tbsp butter)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Bake French fries on a sheet pan until lightly golden (about 15–20 minutes).
  3. In a skillet, brown ground beef with onion and garlic until cooked through. Drain excess fat.
  4. Stir in cream of mushroom soup, milk, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, salt, and pepper. Add 1 cup shredded cheese and mix until melted. (Optional) Stir in sour cream for extra creaminess.
  5. In a greased 9×13 baking dish, spread half of the fries. Pour beef mixture evenly over fries. Top with remaining fries. Sprinkle with the rest of the shredded cheese. Top with buttered breadcrumbs.
  6. Bake uncovered at 375°F (190°C) for 20–25 minutes, until bubbly and golden on top. Drizzle with warm cheese sauce before serving.
  7. Sprinkle with fresh parsley. Serve hot with ketchup, pickles, or ranch on the side.
