Description

A creamy and flavorful dip made with feta cheese and Greek yogurt, perfect for serving with fresh vegetables and pita.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces block feta (full fat, well drained, see note (226 grams))
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt (full fat (113 grams))
  • 1 garlic clove (minced)
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt (or 1/4 teaspoon table salt)
  • to taste freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon zest (the zest of one small lemon)
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil (plus more for topping)
  • to taste red pepper flakes for topping (if desired)
  • cucumbers, red bell peppers, and pita (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Combine the feta and yogurt in a food processor with garlic, salt, pepper, and lemon zest. Blend well.
  2. Add in the olive oil and continue blending until smooth.
  3. Transfer to a bowl and garnish with additional oil and crushed red pepper flakes if desired.
  4. Serve with pita bread, red pepper pieces, and sliced cucumber.
