A delicious and hearty Towering Nacho Lasagna, perfect for gatherings and family dinners, featuring layers of seasoned meat, cheese, and tortillas.

- 2 lbs ground beef (or ground turkey)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 packet taco seasoning (or mix: 1 tsp chili powder, ½ tsp cumin, ½ tsp paprika, ½ tsp garlic powder, ½ tsp onion powder, salt & pepper)
- ½ cup salsa or diced tomatoes
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 cups shredded Monterey Jack or mozzarella
- 1 cup nacho cheese sauce
- ½ cup sour cream (plus more for topping)
- 8–10 flour tortillas (medium size)
- 2 tbsp butter (for toasting tortillas, optional)
- Sliced jalapeños
- Chopped fresh cilantro
- Diced red onion
- Extra salsa or pico de gallo
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet.
- Add ground beef and cook until browned.
- Stir in taco seasoning and salsa/diced tomatoes. Simmer until thickened. Set aside.
- Lightly toast tortillas in a skillet with a touch of butter for sturdiness. Set aside on a plate.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a greased baking dish, layer one tortilla at the bottom.
- Spread a layer of meat, followed by shredded cheese and nacho cheese sauce.
- Add another tortilla, then repeat with meat, cheese, and sour cream.
- Continue layering until you reach the top (4–6 layers depending on dish size).
- Finish with a tortilla, loaded with extra cheese on top.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes until cheese is golden and bubbly.
- Let rest 5–10 minutes before slicing into tall stacked portions.
- Top with sliced jalapeños, cilantro, red onion, and salsa.
- Serve hot with sour cream or guacamole on the side.

- Feel free to customize the toppings based on your preference.
- For a spicier version, add more jalapeños or hot salsa.
