Description

A soft, buttery vanilla cake swirled with sweet strawberry flavor — baked in a beautiful bundt shape and finished with a two-tone strawberry & vanilla glaze. Moist, tender, and absolutely stunning on the table.


Ingredients

  • 2 ½ cups (310g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ cups (300g) granulated sugar
  • 1 cup (226g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 large eggs, room temperature
  • 1 cup (240ml) buttermilk
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ⅓ cup strawberry jam (or strawberry puree)
  • 23 drops pink or red food coloring (optional, for color boost)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for vanilla glaze)
  • 23 tbsp milk (for vanilla glaze)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (for vanilla glaze)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for strawberry glaze)
  • 23 tbsp strawberry syrup (or puree, for strawberry glaze)
  • Optional: drop of pink/red coloring (for strawberry glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F / 175°C. Grease and flour a bundt pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat butter + sugar until fluffy (about 3 minutes).
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well.
  5. Mix in vanilla.
  6. Add dry ingredients alternating with buttermilk until smooth and creamy.
  7. Transfer ⅓ of the batter to a small bowl and stir in strawberry jam + coloring.
  8. Add large spoonfuls of vanilla batter and strawberry batter alternately into bundt pan.
  9. Use a knife to gently swirl — do not overmix.
  10. Bake for 45–60 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean.
  11. Let cool for 15 minutes, then flip out onto a rack to cool completely.
  12. For the vanilla glaze, mix powdered sugar + milk + vanilla until pourable.
  13. For the strawberry glaze, mix powdered sugar + strawberry syrup until smooth.
  14. Pour the vanilla glaze over the cake first, then drizzle the strawberry glaze on top for a two-tone ribbon effect.
  15. Let set for 10 minutes before slicing.
