- ½ cup (100 g) sugar
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- ½ cup (120 ml) strawberry jam (optional, for extra richness)
- 16 oz (450 g) mascarpone cheese (room temp)
- 1 cup (240 ml) heavy cream (chilled)
- ½ cup (100 g) sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 package ladyfinger biscuits (about 24–28 pieces)
- ½ cup (120 ml) strawberry juice or strawberry syrup (from macerated berries)
- 2 tablespoons orange liqueur or strawberry liqueur (optional)
- Fresh strawberries (sliced, for garnish)
- Powdered sugar (for dusting)
Instructions
- In a bowl, toss strawberries with sugar and lemon juice.
- Let sit 15 minutes until juicy. Reserve the syrup for dipping ladyfingers.
- Beat mascarpone cheese with sugar and vanilla until smooth.
- In another bowl, whip heavy cream to soft peaks.
- Gently fold whipped cream into mascarpone mixture.
- Quickly dip ladyfingers into the strawberry syrup (don’t oversoak).
- Arrange a layer of dipped ladyfingers in the bottom of a baking dish.
- Spread half the mascarpone cream over the biscuits.
- Add a layer of macerated strawberries (and optional jam).
- Repeat layers, finishing with cream and strawberries on top.
- Cover and refrigerate at least 4 hours (preferably overnight) to set.
- Garnish with fresh strawberry slices and dust with powdered sugar before serving.

- For best results, chill overnight.
- Adjust sweetness by varying the amount of sugar in the strawberries and cream.
