Delicious and easy-to-make Spinach & Feta Roll-Ups, perfect as an appetizer or snack.

- 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed, about 250 g)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 200 g fresh spinach (or frozen, thawed & squeezed dry)
- 150 g feta cheese, crumbled
- 50 g cream cheese (optional, for creaminess)
- 1 egg, lightly beaten (for binding and brushing)
- ½ tsp dried oregano (or dill)
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- Pinch of nutmeg (optional)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet. Add onion and cook until soft.
- Stir in garlic, then add spinach and cook until wilted (or warmed through if using frozen).
- Let cool slightly, then mix with feta, cream cheese, oregano, pepper, and nutmeg. Add half the beaten egg to bind.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Roll out puff pastry into a rectangle on a lightly floured surface.
- Spread the spinach-feta mixture evenly across.
- Roll up tightly from the long side, forming a log.
- Slice into 1-inch (2.5 cm) thick rounds and place on a lined baking sheet.
- Brush tops with remaining beaten egg.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes, until golden and puffed.
- Best enjoyed warm as an appetizer, snack, or party bite.
Notes
- For a vegetarian option, ensure the puff pastry is made without animal products.
- These roll-ups can be made ahead of time and frozen before baking.
