- 1 cup dark brown sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together unsalted butter and dark brown sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
- Gradually mix in all-purpose flour, ground cinnamon, and chopped nuts until combined into a soft dough.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough and roll into balls. Place on the prepared baking sheet about two inches apart.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until lightly golden at the bottom; avoid overbaking for soft cookies.
- Cool completely on wire racks, then dust generously with powdered sugar before serving.
