Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Line a 10×15-inch (25×38 cm) jelly roll pan with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, beat eggs and sugar for 5 minutes until thick, pale, and doubled in volume.
- Add vanilla and milk; mix gently.
- Sift in flour, baking powder, and salt. Fold in with a spatula until smooth.
- Pour into the pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the cake springs back when touched.
- While still warm, turn the cake onto a clean kitchen towel dusted with powdered sugar.
- Peel off the parchment paper.
- Starting from the short end, roll the cake up with the towel inside.
- Let it cool completely (about 30–40 minutes).
- Beat heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold in the salted caramel sauce — creating a light swirl effect if desired.
- Carefully unroll the cooled cake.
- Spread the caramel whipped cream evenly over the surface.
- Drizzle lightly with more caramel sauce.
- Roll the cake back up tightly (without the towel).
- Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to set.
- Place the chilled roll on a serving platter.
- Drizzle generously with warm caramel sauce.
- Pipe whipped cream rosettes on top.
- Add colorful sprinkles for a festive finish.
Notes
- Ensure eggs are at room temperature for better volume.
- Use a clean kitchen towel to prevent sticking when rolling the cake.
