Description

Soft, chewy Rice Krispie treats shaped into pops, dipped in chocolate, and decorated as festive reindeer.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 200 g mini marshmallows
  • 45 cups (120 g) Rice Krispies
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • 300 g milk chocolate or dark chocolate (melted)
  • 12 candy-striped sticks or lollipop sticks
  • 24 pretzels (cut in half for antlers)
  • 12 red M&M’s or red chocolate candies (noses)
  • 24 candy eyes

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a large pot.
  2. Add mini marshmallows and stir until fully melted.
  3. Remove from heat and add vanilla + salt.
  4. Add Rice Krispies and stir to coat evenly.
  5. Press mixture into a lined 20×20 cm pan.
  6. Let cool 10 minutes.
  7. Cut into rectangles or squares.
  8. Insert a striped stick into the bottom of each piece.
  9. If mixture is sticky, lightly butter your fingers.
  10. Melt chocolate until smooth.
  11. Dip the bottom half of each Rice Krispie pop into the chocolate.
  12. Tap gently to remove excess.
  13. Lay on parchment to set.
  14. While chocolate is still soft, break pretzels in half and insert two pieces on top for antlers.
  15. Press two candy eyes onto the chocolate.
  16. Add one red M&M in the center.
  17. Let everything set (10–15 minutes).

Notes

  • Make sure to use a non-stick pan for easy removal.
  • Store in an airtight container for freshness.
  • These can be made ahead of time and stored for a few days.
