Instructions
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk eggs, buttermilk, oil, vanilla, and vinegar.
- Pour wet ingredients into dry and stir gently until just combined.
- Divide batter into two bowls: keep one plain, add red food coloring to the other for the red velvet swirl.
- Preheat waffle iron and grease lightly.
- Spoon alternating dollops of plain and red batter into the iron to create a marble effect.
- Cook waffles according to your iron’s instructions until golden and crisp.
- Beat cream cheese until smooth.
- Add powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk; whisk until pourable. Adjust consistency with more milk if needed.
- Stack waffles on a plate. Drizzle generously with cream cheese sauce.
- Top with fresh raspberries, a scoop of vanilla ice cream, and mint leaves.
