- ¾ cup (150g) granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp red food coloring (gel preferred)
- 8 oz (225g) cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup (120ml) heavy cream (cold)
- ¼ cup (30g) powdered sugar
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- 4–6 Oreo cookies (for topping)
- White chocolate shavings (optional)
- Extra red velvet crumbs (for layering)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and line an 8-inch square baking pan.
- In one bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream together butter and sugar until fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla, food coloring, buttermilk, and vinegar.
- Fold in dry ingredients until smooth, pour into the pan, and bake for 20–25 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool completely, then crumble the cake into fine crumbs.
- Beat cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
- In another bowl, whip heavy cream and vanilla until soft peaks form.
- Fold whipped cream into cream cheese mixture gently to keep it light and fluffy.
- In individual glass containers or a large dish, layer red velvet crumbs on the bottom.
- Spoon or pipe a layer of cheesecake cream over the crumbs and repeat the layers until you reach the top.
- Garnish with red velvet crumbs, a swirl of cream, white chocolate shavings, and an Oreo cookie on top.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving for best texture.
- Serve chilled for a rich, creamy bite in every layer!
