A delightful and indulgent Red Velvet Cheesecake Dessert Box that combines the rich flavors of red velvet cake with a creamy cheesecake layer, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ¼ cups (160g) all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ cup (120ml) buttermilk
  • ½ tsp white vinegar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup (115g) unsalted butter, softened
  • ¾ cup (150g) granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp red food coloring (gel preferred)
  • 8 oz (225g) cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup (120ml) heavy cream (cold)
  • ¼ cup (30g) powdered sugar
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 46 Oreo cookies (for topping)
  • White chocolate shavings (optional)
  • Extra red velvet crumbs (for layering)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and line an 8-inch square baking pan.
  2. In one bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream together butter and sugar until fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla, food coloring, buttermilk, and vinegar.
  5. Fold in dry ingredients until smooth, pour into the pan, and bake for 20–25 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Cool completely, then crumble the cake into fine crumbs.
  7. Beat cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
  8. In another bowl, whip heavy cream and vanilla until soft peaks form.
  9. Fold whipped cream into cream cheese mixture gently to keep it light and fluffy.
  10. In individual glass containers or a large dish, layer red velvet crumbs on the bottom.
  11. Spoon or pipe a layer of cheesecake cream over the crumbs and repeat the layers until you reach the top.
  12. Garnish with red velvet crumbs, a swirl of cream, white chocolate shavings, and an Oreo cookie on top.
  13. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving for best texture.
  14. Serve chilled for a rich, creamy bite in every layer!

Notes

  • For best results, use gel food coloring for a vibrant red color.
  • Make sure the cream cheese is softened to avoid lumps in the cheesecake cream.
  • Chilling the dessert allows the flavors to meld beautifully.
