Description
These delightful pizza biscuit bites are a fun and easy appetizer that combines the flavors of pizza with the fluffy texture of biscuit dough.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 can Pillsbury biscuit dough (about 16 oz)
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- about 30 slices pepperoni
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese, for topping
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cut the biscuit dough into bite-sized pieces. Set aside the shredded mozzarella cheese and pepperoni slices so everything is ready for assembly.
- In a small bowl, melt the butter and stir in garlic powder and dried Italian seasoning. This flavored butter mixture will coat the dough pieces to infuse every bite with robust pizza flavor.
- Toss each biscuit dough piece in the butter mixture until well coated. Then dip or roll them in shredded mozzarella cheese and wrap with a slice of pepperoni to create little pizza-flavored dough bites.
- Grease a bundt or deep cake pan. Layer the coated dough bites, additional pepperoni slices, and remaining shredded mozzarella cheese alternately, building flavorful pockets that will bake together beautifully.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly. Remove from oven and let cool slightly before inverting onto a serving plate. Serve warm for best flavor.
Notes
- Feel free to customize the fillings by adding other pizza toppings such as bell peppers or mushrooms.
- These pizza bites are best served fresh out of the oven but can be stored in an airtight container for a day or two.
