Description

Pink Party Vanilla Cake Bars are a must-try treat featuring fluffy vanilla cake layered with creamy pink frosting and topped with pearl sprinkles for a festive touch.


Ingredients

  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 ½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened (for frosting)
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 23 tbsp heavy cream or milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (for frosting)
  • Pink food coloring
  • Pearl sprinkles or edible pearls (for decoration)
  • Heart-shaped sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another large bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
  5. Alternate adding dry mixture and milk, mixing until smooth.
  6. Pour batter into prepared pan and spread evenly.
  7. Bake for about 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  8. Cool completely before frosting.
  9. Beat butter until creamy.
  10. Gradually add powdered sugar, alternating with heavy cream, until fluffy.
  11. Mix in vanilla and tint with pink food coloring.
  12. Slice cooled cake into two layers (or bake two thinner layers).
  13. Spread frosting between the layers and on top.
  14. Pipe decorative swirls of pink frosting on the surface.
  15. Sprinkle with pearl sprinkles and optional heart decorations.
  16. Cut into bars and serve.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a few drops of almond extract to the frosting.
  • Bars can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for 2 days or in the fridge for up to 5 days.
