Description

These ginger chicken lettuce wraps are a quick and healthy meal, packed with flavor.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
  • 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 cup water chestnuts, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup green onions, sliced
  • 16 butter lettuce leaves

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix the hoisin sauce, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame oil. Set aside.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground chicken and cook for 6–7 minutes, breaking it apart until fully browned.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic and grated ginger. Cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add the chopped water chestnuts and sliced green onions.
  5. Pour the prepared sauce into the skillet and stir well. Simmer for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  6. Spoon about 1/4 cup of the chicken mixture into each lettuce leaf.
  7. Serve immediately while warm.

Notes

  • For extra crunch, consider adding shredded carrots or bell peppers.
  • This dish can also be served over rice or quinoa if desired.
