Description

A delicious and indulgent ice cream treat featuring a creamy peanut butter swirl, rich caramel sauce, and a crunchy mix of chocolate-covered peanuts and salted peanuts.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • ½ cup creamy peanut butter
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp heavy cream
  • ½ cup granulated sugar (for caramel sauce)
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • ¼ cup heavy cream (for caramel sauce)
  • Pinch of salt (for caramel sauce)
  • 1 cup chopped chocolate-covered peanuts or peanut butter cups
  • ½ cup salted peanuts (roughly chopped)

Instructions

  1. Make the Peanut Butter Swirl: Mix peanut butter, powdered sugar, and heavy cream until smooth. Chill until ready to swirl into the ice cream.
  2. Prepare the Caramel Sauce: In a saucepan, heat sugar over medium heat until it melts and turns golden. Stir in butter until smooth. Slowly add heavy cream and whisk until combined. Add a pinch of salt, then cool.
  3. Make the Ice Cream Base: In a bowl, whisk together heavy cream, milk, sugar, vanilla, and salt until sugar dissolves. Chill for 2–3 hours in the refrigerator.
  4. Churn & Add the Mix-Ins: Pour chilled base into an ice cream maker and churn until soft-serve consistency. Gently fold in peanut butter swirl, caramel sauce, and crunchy peanuts with chocolate pieces.
  5. Freeze & Serve: Transfer to a container and freeze 4–6 hours until scoopable. Drizzle with extra caramel and sprinkle with more crunch before serving.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use natural peanut butter.
  • Ensure the caramel sauce is completely cooled before mixing it into the ice cream base.
  • Feel free to customize the crunch with your favorite mix-ins.
