Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • ½ cup beef broth
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 8 lasagna noodles, cooked and drained
  • 1½ cups ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp dried parsley
  • 6 slices cooked crispy bacon, chopped
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, brown the beef with onion until cooked through. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add garlic, Worcestershire sauce, tomato sauce, and beef broth. Simmer for 10–15 minutes until thickened.
  3. In a bowl, combine ricotta, mozzarella, cheddar, Parmesan, garlic powder, and parsley. Mix until smooth and creamy.
  4. Spread a thin layer of meat sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
  5. Layer noodles, cheese mixture, and more meat sauce.
  6. Repeat until all ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of sauce and cheese.
  7. Cover with foil and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 25 minutes.
  8. Remove foil, top with remaining cheddar, mozzarella, and chopped bacon.
  9. Bake uncovered for another 10–15 minutes, until bubbly and golden.
  10. Let rest 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with parsley and a sprinkle of Parmesan.
