Description

Soft, fluffy cinnamon rolls drizzled with maple glaze and topped with crispy bacon crumbles. A sweet and savory twist on a breakfast classic that’s perfect for brunch!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet (2 ¼ tsp) instant yeast
  • 1 cup warm milk (110°F / 43°C)
  • ⅓ cup granulated sugar
  • ⅓ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened (for filling)
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup cooked crispy bacon, crumbled (for topping)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 3 tbsp maple syrup
  • 12 tbsp milk (to thin glaze)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk, yeast, and sugar. Let sit until foamy (5 minutes).
  2. Add butter, eggs, and salt, then mix in flour gradually.
  3. Knead until dough is smooth and elastic (8–10 minutes).
  4. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise until doubled (about 1 hour).
  5. Roll dough into a large rectangle (about 12×18 inches).
  6. Spread softened butter evenly.
  7. Sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.
  8. Roll up tightly from the long side and cut into 12 rolls.
  9. Place rolls in a greased baking dish.
  10. Cover and let rise 30–40 minutes.
  11. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25–30 minutes, until golden.
  12. In a bowl, whisk powdered sugar, maple syrup, and milk until smooth.
  13. Drizzle glaze over warm rolls.
  14. Sprinkle with crispy bacon crumbles.

Notes

  • Ensure the milk is warm but not hot to activate the yeast properly.
  • For best results, use fresh bacon for topping.
  • These rolls are best served warm.
