Description

Delicious Maltesers Chocolate Swirl Pancakes that combine fluffy pancakes with a rich chocolate and Maltesers filling.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup (125 g) all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 cup (240 ml) milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tbsp melted butter (plus extra for cooking)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup milk chocolate, melted
  • 1/2 cup crushed Maltesers (plus more for topping)
  • 1/2 cup chocolate hazelnut spread (e.g., Nutella)
  • Whole Maltesers, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  2. In another bowl, whisk milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla.
  3. Pour wet ingredients into dry and mix until just combined (don’t overmix). Let the batter rest for 5–10 minutes.
  4. Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat and lightly butter it.
  5. Pour in about 1/4 cup of batter for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, then flip and cook another 1–2 minutes until golden. Stack pancakes on a plate and keep warm.
  6. Mix melted milk chocolate with crushed Maltesers. Spread chocolate hazelnut spread on each pancake. Add a layer of the Maltesers chocolate mix and roll the pancakes tightly.
  7. Stack the rolled pancakes on a plate. Drizzle extra melted chocolate over the top. Sprinkle with more crushed Maltesers and top with whole Maltesers.
