A delicious and indulgent Loaded Cheesy Bacon Mashed Potato Bowl, perfect for a comforting meal.

- 2 lbs (1 kg) potatoes (Yukon Gold or Russet)
- 4 tablespoons (60 g) butter
- ½–1 cup warm milk or cream
- Salt & pepper to taste
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
- 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 6–8 slices bacon, cooked & crumbled
- 2 tablespoons butter (for topping melt pool)
- Fresh chives, finely chopped
- Optional: sour cream, green onions
Instructions
- Peel potatoes and cut into chunks.
- Add to a pot of salted water and bring to a boil.
- Cook until fork-tender (12–15 minutes).
- Drain well.
- Mash potatoes with butter while still hot.
- Add warm milk/cream a little at a time until smooth and creamy.
- Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder (optional).
- Transfer mashed potatoes into a serving bowl.
- Make a small well in the center and add 2 tablespoons butter so it melts into the center puddle.
- Sprinkle cheddar cheese generously all over the top.
- Add crispy bacon pieces and top with fresh chopped chives.
- Microwave the whole bowl for 20–30 seconds, or place under a broiler for a few seconds until the cheese melts perfectly.
Notes
- For a creamier texture, adjust the amount of milk or cream to your preference.
