Description

Ingredients

  • 2 medium sweet potatoes (about 500g)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp freshly cracked black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon or smoked paprika (optional)
  • juice of 1 lemon (optional)

Instructions

  1. Wash and scrub the sweet potatoes. Peel if desired.
  2. Slice the sweet potatoes into 1/2-inch rounds for even cooking.
  3. In a large bowl, toss the rounds with olive oil, sea salt, pepper, and any additional spices you prefer.
  4. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat (400°F/200°C).
  5. Grill the sweet potato slices for 4-5 minutes on each side until tender and charred.
  6. Remove from the grill and drizzle with lemon juice before serving.

Notes

  • For added flavor, consider using smoked paprika.
  • The lemon juice is optional but adds a nice tang.
