Description

Delicious grilled chicken wings with a smoky flavor, perfect for any gathering.


Ingredients

  • 3 pounds chicken wings
  • 1 teaspoon liquid smoke (Optional)
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce (low sodium)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons brown sugar or sweetener
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Instructions

  1. Pat the chicken wings dry.
  2. Drizzle the wings in the liquid smoke and soy sauce.
  3. Sprinkle the BBQ rub throughout.
  4. Marinate the chicken in the fridge for at least an hour (optional).
  5. Coat the grill grates in olive oil using a cooking brush or towels to prevent sticking.
  6. Preheat the grill to 425 degrees.
  7. Place the wings on the grill.
  8. Grill for 15-20 minutes, flipping the wings every 5 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees. Use a meat thermometer.
  9. Ensure wings are crispy and have a bit of char.
  10. Remove the wings and cool before serving.

Notes

  • Use whole wings if preferred.
  • Adjust the amount of liquid smoke based on your taste preference.
  • For extra crispy wings, leave them on the grill a bit longer after reaching the desired temperature.
