- 4 cups heavy whipping cream, cold
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 boxes chocolate sandwich cookies (Oreos or similar)
- 1 (12 oz) box vanilla wafer cookies or ladyfingers
- 1 cup milk (for dipping cookies)
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- ½ cup heavy cream
- Candy pumpkins
- Halloween sprinkles
- Extra cookies (crushed or halved)
Instructions
- Beat cold heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla until stiff peaks form. Set aside.
- Dip cookies quickly in milk (don’t soak). In a springform pan or deep trifle dish, layer cookies on the bottom.
- Spread a layer of whipped cream over cookies.
- Add another layer of vanilla wafers, followed by whipped cream.
- Continue layering until you reach the top, finishing with whipped cream.
- Cover and refrigerate at least 6 hours or overnight to allow cookies to soften into a cake-like texture.
- Heat heavy cream until steaming (not boiling). Pour over chocolate chips, let sit 2 minutes, then stir until smooth.
- Spread ganache over chilled cake, letting it drip slightly over the edges.
- Top with candy pumpkins, halved cookies, and Halloween sprinkles.
- Slice and serve chilled.
