Description
Juicy marinated chicken grilled to perfection, wrapped in warm pita or flatbread, and topped with crisp veggies and creamy homemade tzatziki. A Mediterranean street food classic you can make at home!

- 1 ½ lbs boneless chicken thighs or breasts
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 2 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp paprika
- ½ tsp cumin
- Salt & black pepper, to taste
- 1 cup Greek yogurt
- ½ cucumber, grated and squeezed dry
- 2 cloves garlic, finely minced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp fresh dill or parsley, chopped
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- Salt & pepper, to taste
- 4–6 pita breads or naan (warmed)
- 1 cup cucumber, diced
- 1 cup tomato, diced
- ½ cup red onion, sliced
- ½ cup bell peppers, diced
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, oregano, paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper. Coat chicken and marinate for at least 1 hour (overnight for best flavor).
- Heat grill or grill pan to medium-high. Cook chicken 5–7 minutes per side until charred and cooked through. Rest for 5 minutes, then slice.
- In a bowl, combine Greek yogurt, cucumber, garlic, olive oil, dill, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Mix well and chill until ready to serve.
- Warm pita or naan. Fill with grilled chicken slices, cucumber, tomato, onion, and bell peppers. Drizzle with tzatziki and garnish with parsley.
- Fold and enjoy immediately!
Notes
- For best flavor, marinate the chicken overnight.
- Feel free to customize the veggies based on your preference.
- Serve with extra tzatziki on the side for dipping.
