- 12 oz bowtie pasta (farfalle)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tsp salt (for pasta water)
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter, divided
- 1 large yellow onion, finely chopped
- 6–8 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt (for beef)
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened and cubed
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese (for garnish/optional)
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook the bowtie pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef, onion, and garlic, cooking until the meat is browned and the onion is soft.
- Stir in Italian seasoning, black pepper, and salt. Add Worcestershire sauce and cook for an additional minute.
- Reduce heat to medium. Add butter to the skillet and let it melt. Sprinkle the flour over the beef mixture, stirring constantly for about 2 minutes.
- Slowly add the beef broth, stirring until the mixture thickens. Then add heavy cream and cream cheese, stirring until smooth.
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet with the sauce. Stir in cheddar cheese until melted and combined.
- Serve with grated Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, and fresh parsley on top.

- This dish can be customized with your choice of vegetables or different types of cheese.
- You can substitute ground turkey or chicken for the ground beef if preferred.
