- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs, at room temperature
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour, spooned and leveled
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 20 saltine crackers
- 6 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
- Sea salt, for topping (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish.
- In a large bowl, cream together the unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and light brown sugar until fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs and vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour and baking soda; gradually add to the creamed mixture.
- Fold in the crushed saltine crackers and chocolate chips.
- Spread the mixture evenly in the prepared baking dish.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
- Sprinkle sea salt on top before serving.
