Description

Delicious sprinkle cookies perfect for any occasion!


Ingredients

  • 1 cup soft butter (very soft for better mixing)
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (can substitute with granulated sugar)
  • 1 large egg (can substitute with a flax egg)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (use pure for best flavor)
  • 1 pinch salt (adjust based on taste preferences)
  • to cups all-purpose flour (can substitute with gluten-free blend)
  • colored to taste sprinkles (choose your favorite colors)
  • maraschino to taste cherries (adds flavor and color)
  • chocolate to taste for drizzle (melt your favorite chocolate)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine 1 cup of very soft butter with 1/2 cup + 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar. Beat until creamy and fluffy, about 2 minutes.
  2. Incorporate 1 large egg and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract into the creamed mixture. Mix on medium speed until smooth.
  3. Gradually mix in 2¼ to 2½ cups of all-purpose flour and a pinch of salt. Stir until just combined.
  4. Fill your cookie press with the dough, packing it tightly.
  5. Press the cookie dough onto a baking sheet directly, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  6. If desired, sprinkle colorful sprinkles or place a maraschino cherry on top of each cookie.
  7. Chill the pressed cookies in the refrigerator for about 15 minutes while preheating your oven to 350°F.
  8. Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes or until golden around the edges.
  9. Once baked, remove from the oven and let them cool slightly before transferring to a wire rack.
