- 500 g (1 lb) ground beef
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 packet taco seasoning (or 2 tbsp homemade)
- ½ cup water
- 4 cups chopped romaine or iceberg lettuce
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes or diced tomatoes
- ½ cup red onion, diced
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup tortilla chips (triangles or crushed)
- ½–1 cup guacamole
- ½ cup sour cream
- Salsa or pico de gallo (optional)
- Fresh cilantro (optional)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add ground beef and cook until browned.
- Drain excess fat.
- Add taco seasoning and water.
- Simmer for 3–5 minutes until thick and saucy. Set aside to cool slightly.
- In each bowl, layer lettuce, tomatoes, red onion, warm taco beef, shredded cheddar, and tortilla chips for crunch.
- Finish with a big scoop of guacamole, a spoon of sour cream, a drizzle of salsa or pico, and a sprinkle of fresh cilantro.
