Crispy Philly Cheesesteak Egg Rolls are a delicious twist on the classic Philly cheesesteak, wrapped in crispy egg roll wrappers and filled with savory beef, cheese, and vegetables.

- 1 lb ribeye steak or ground beef (thinly sliced or chopped)
- 1 medium onion, finely diced
- 1 green bell pepper, finely diced (optional)
- 1 cup mushrooms, diced (optional)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 8–10 egg roll wrappers
- 1 ½ cups shredded provolone or mozzarella cheese
- 1 egg (beaten, for sealing)
- Oil for frying (vegetable or canola)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add onions, peppers, and mushrooms; sauté until softened.
- Add steak or ground beef, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook until browned.
- Drain excess grease. Stir in shredded provolone until melty. Let mixture cool slightly.
- Lay out one egg roll wrapper in a diamond shape.
- Spoon 2–3 tbsp of filling into the center.
- Fold the bottom corner up over the filling, fold in the sides, then roll tightly.
- Brush edges with beaten egg to seal. Repeat with remaining wrappers.
- Heat oil in a deep skillet or fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- Fry egg rolls in batches until golden brown and crispy (about 3–4 minutes per side).
- Drain on paper towels.
- Slice diagonally for that classic Philly look.
- Serve with cheese sauce, ranch, or spicy ketchup for dipping.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add jalapeños to the filling.
- These egg rolls can be baked instead of fried for a healthier option.
- Leftover filling can be used in sandwiches or salads.
