Description

Delicious and crispy air fryer sweet potato fries that are easy to prepare and perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 2 large sweet potatoes (peeled and cut lengthwise, mine weighed about a couple of pounds total)
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Slice the sweet potatoes using a fry cutter for evenly shaped fries.
  2. Microwave the potatoes for 3-4 minutes to soften them.
  3. Place the sliced sweet potatoes in a large bowl with cold water and soak for an hour.
  4. Remove the sweet potatoes from the water and dry completely.
  5. Sprinkle the cornstarch throughout the sweet potatoes.
  6. Sprinkle in the paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  7. Place the fries in the air fryer basket and spray with olive oil. Do not overcrowd the basket.
  8. If necessary, cook in batches. If you see white spots of cornstarch on the fries, spray them with olive oil.
  9. Adjust the air fryer temperature to 380 degrees and cook for 23-25 minutes.
  10. Set a timer for 10 minutes and shake the basket at the 10-minute mark.
  11. Use your judgment. If you like crispy fries, cook them longer and check periodically.
  12. Cool before serving.
