A delicious and elegant Cranberry Brie Puff Pastry Tart that is perfect for entertaining guests during the holidays or any special occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 1 small wheel of brie (or brie slices)
- 1/2 cup cranberry sauce (homemade or canned whole-berry)
- 2–3 tbsp crispy bacon bits (optional but amazing)
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Fresh thyme or rosemary (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment.
- Unfold puff pastry and cut into 4 large squares (or leave whole for one big tart).
- Score a 1/2 inch border around each square (don’t cut all the way through).
- Place a slice/wedge of brie in the center of each square.
- Spoon cranberry sauce generously around and slightly over the brie.
- Sprinkle with bacon bits.
- Brush pastry edges with beaten egg to help golden color.
- Bake 18–22 minutes or until puffed and deeply golden.
- Remove from oven and garnish with fresh thyme or rosemary.
- Serve warm, so the brie is melty and irresistible.
Notes
- For a vegetarian option, omit the bacon bits.
- Can be made ahead and baked just before serving for best results.
- Experiment with different herbs for garnish based on your preference.
