- 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed)
- 1 egg + 1 tbsp water (egg wash)
- 6–8 oz (170–225g) brie cheese, rind optional
- 1 cup homemade or store-bought cranberry sauce
- 1 tsp orange zest (optional)
- 1 tbsp honey (optional)
- 1 tsp chopped rosemary or thyme (optional)
- Fresh thyme or rosemary sprigs (for garnish)
- Extra orange zest (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F / 190°C.
- Roll out puff pastry slightly to smooth lines.
- Cut pastry into 12–16 equal squares.
- Place squares into a greased mini muffin tin, gently pressing to form cups.
- Brush lightly with egg wash for golden color.
- Cut brie into small cubes.
- Place 1 piece of brie into the center of each pastry cup.
- Optional: drizzle a tiny bit of honey over the cheese for extra richness.
- Bake 12–15 minutes, until the pastry is golden and the brie melted.
- Spoon 1–2 teaspoons of cranberry sauce on top of the hot brie.
- Add optional orange zest or herbs for aroma and color.
- Add a small sprig of thyme or rosemary to each cup.
- Serve warm for maximum meltiness.
Notes
- For a sweeter flavor, consider adding more honey.
- These cups can be made ahead of time and baked just before serving.
