Crispy, golden bread rolls overflowing with garlicky crab-and-shrimp filling, smothered in gooey melted cheese, and topped with fresh herbs. Perfect for game day, parties, or an indulgent seafood appetizer!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 small round bread loaves (sourdough or brioche)
  • 3 tbsp butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 cup cooked shrimp, chopped
  • 1 cup lump crab meat (or imitation crab)
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tbsp Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning (or Cajun seasoning)
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella (for topping)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice a crosshatch pattern into each bread loaf (don’t cut all the way through).
  3. Mix melted butter, garlic, and parsley. Brush generously into the cuts.
  4. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, mayo, mozzarella, cheddar, Parmesan, lemon juice, and seasoning until smooth.
  5. Fold in chopped shrimp and crab.
  6. Spoon filling into the crosshatched bread, pressing deep into cuts.
  7. Top with extra mozzarella for maximum cheesiness.
  8. Place bread bombs on a lined baking tray.
  9. Bake 20–25 minutes until bread is golden and cheese is bubbling.
  10. Sprinkle with fresh parsley.
  11. Serve hot with garlic aioli or creamy ranch dip on the side.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add diced jalapeños to the seafood filling.
  • These can be made ahead of time and baked just before serving.
  • Experiment with different types of cheese for varied flavors.
