Description
This sweet pizza dessert uses crescent roll dough as a buttery crust, topped with caramelized cinnamon sugar and finished with creamy icing. It’s like a giant cinnamon roll in pizza form — perfect for sharing!
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 tube (8 oz / 230 g) refrigerated crescent roll dough (or crescent dough sheet)
- 1 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- ¼ cup (50 g) brown sugar, packed
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
- ½ cup (60 g) powdered sugar
- 1 tbsp cream cheese, softened (optional for richness)
- 1 tbsp milk (or more as needed)
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- Warm caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade, optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a round pizza pan or baking sheet.
- Roll out the crescent dough onto the pan, pressing seams together to form a smooth circle. Brush lightly with melted butter.
- In a small bowl, mix brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and softened butter into a paste. Spread evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
- Bake for 12–14 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly. Remove and let cool for 5 minutes.
- In a small bowl, whisk powdered sugar, cream cheese, milk, and vanilla until smooth. Drizzle over warm pizza using a spoon or piping bag. Optionally, add a swirl of caramel sauce for extra flavor.
Notes
- For a richer glaze, include cream cheese.
- Adjust the amount of milk in the glaze for desired consistency.
- Serve warm for the best flavor experience.
