Delicious caramel apple puff pastry squares that are easy to make and perfect for dessert.

- 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed if frozen)
- 1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)
- 2 medium apples (peeled, cored, diced)
- 2 tbsp butter
- 3 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- Pinch of nutmeg (optional)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp caramel sauce (plus extra for drizzling)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Cut puff pastry into squares (about 4–6). Place on parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Score a small border around each square with a knife (do not cut through).
- Brush edges with egg wash. Bake 12–15 minutes, until puffed and golden.
- In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
- Add diced apples, brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Cook 5–7 minutes, until apples soften and caramelize.
- Stir in vanilla and caramel sauce. Remove from heat.
- Gently press down the center of each puff pastry square (leaving edges puffed).
- Spoon caramel apple mixture into the center.
- Drizzle with extra caramel sauce.
- Dust with powdered sugar if desired.
- Serve warm for best flavor.

- For a richer flavor, use a mix of sweet and tart apples.
- Can be served with ice cream for an extra treat.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
