Ingredients

- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 large eggs
- 2/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Melt chocolate chips and butter together in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth. Allow to cool slightly.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until light and fluffy.
- Add the melted chocolate mixture to the egg mixture and stir until well combined.
- Gently fold in the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt until just incorporated.
- Scoop heaping tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing evenly.
- Bake for 11-13 minutes, until cookies are shiny and cracked on top.
- Cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- For chewier cookies, do not overbake.
- You can substitute chocolate chips with walnuts for added texture.
