Description

Deliciously soft and chewy chocolate chip cookies that are easy to make.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Melt chocolate chips and butter together in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth. Allow to cool slightly.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the melted chocolate mixture to the egg mixture and stir until well combined.
  5. Gently fold in the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt until just incorporated.
  6. Scoop heaping tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing evenly.
  7. Bake for 11-13 minutes, until cookies are shiny and cracked on top.
  8. Cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • For chewier cookies, do not overbake.
  • You can substitute chocolate chips with walnuts for added texture.
